Quick Update

I still haven't updated the last few films of my marathon yet, so I'm way behind. But, I did watch 2 movies yesterday.

Intermission:



This was a really solid movie, it had some peaks and valleys quality wise, but all the performances are terrific and the film is a lot of fun. It doesn't take itself too seriously which is evident in the first scene. Said scene is one of the best filmic moments I can remember seeing in some time. Its fast paced, exciting, and it just explodes with vitality. The rest of the film isn't up to that scene, but still worth seeing.

Grade: B+



The Princess Blade:





I read some good things about this and thought it would be a fun Japanese sword film. Its really dull, the action isn't well staged or executed, and ends up feeling short changed as much of the gore is held back or offf screen. A big dissapointment.

Grade: D+
